Pieta 2.0

Pieta 2.0 is my most recent project and creation in fashion that I wanted to share with everyone. It also one of my most favourtie and accurate in terms of design and craftmenship that I have created so far.

Pieta 2.0 is inspired by greek sculpture and renaissance art and how fabric is used on the body and how it ulters and changes the body and but can also enhance the body shape. I was really inspired by Michelangelos Pieta sculpture and how renaissance art used the them contrapposto a lot in the world of art. This was also used i ngreek sculptture.
As well as this researched into how fabric is used in current trends and collections to manipulate and alter the body shop and I became very inspired by the french brand Vetements and how they tend to use fabric in excess to create lots of crinkles and rolls of fabric that ahng and collect around the waist, hips and wrists. I like to call the designs modern day greek sculpture.

This is how I came up with the name for the piece, Pieta 2.0. This is Pieta the sculpture reinvented taking a step into modern world wearing a Vetements rather than a gown.

Winter Favourites

I've been loving primarks pyjama and lounge wear range recently. I really loved this two piece set that has beatifull lace detail aorund the edges. And to make it even better they had a range of colours. Silky pyjamas are allways a luxary that is nice to treat yourself with and they are mega comfy and light.

A just rediscovered Urban Decay and how really good their make up actually is when i had a clearout of my make up. I really love the Naked 3 palette as the rose gold shades really suit my blue eye colour. Plus its just to pretty not to look at. I really love using a wet brush with the metallic shimmery colours as it makes them really strong and like liquid metal on your eyes.

Another one of my christmas presents was this super trendy and amazing lamp. Ive been trying to find a lamp for my desk for a long time since my last one broke and it didnt really suit the them of my room anywhy. I spotted this lamp in Aldi, i know right i bet you didnt think i was gonna say that.
It has a marble base which is super heavy and then a half copper and half black stem/pipe. Even the light by itself is really cool. It doesnt look like it but the light is massive, but it is tinted yellow to make it look really vintage. This lamb is the perfect edition to my room and exactly what I was looking for.

My recent college project made way to my most favourite design that I have created this professionally learning to become a fashion designer. This piece is called Pieta 2.0 which was inspired by the french brand, Vetements as well as Greek Sculpture and renaissance art.
I love it that much that once I have had it assessed I am so going to wear it I love it so much.

How to bag the designer look for cheap

Back once again with the Replica Master
(Sorry I had to)

If your someone who is like me that is madly obsessed with fashion and what is being thrown down the runway but you can't seem to grasp the price range when it comes dropping the coins then you have found the right spot.

Fashion is forever evolving, quicker than ever in history. Once something is on the runway everywhere else has grabbed it by their own hands and it's hanging up on a high street rack in a multitude of variations for a much cheaper price.

Here I show you the guide and rules for shopping designer, trendy replicas.

# 1- Buying cheap on eBay can be your friend.

Yes, there is a stigma that buying from eBay is a silly idea because it comes from china and it will be broken before it even reaches. Well, I'm sorry but I am here to rule that out straight away.
I've only bought, what I would call a designer replica on eBay once and it was an orange Vetements long sleeve top. It's not amazing quality as expected but it was still good and nice to wear and it only cost me £15.99 in like its inspiration which cost a tear dropping 500 odd pounds.
The thing you have to watch with replica's if you buy them from eBay or anywhere else, they are likely not going to be exactly the same. For example, my Vetements style jumper says Detements rather than vetements on the sleeve.

# 2- High street is just like designer

Once a season of fashion and trends is up you must check out and hunt around high street stores, specifically Topshop, H and M, Zara I find, as they tend to grasp a hold of the most popular trends and make up their own styles and versions of it. Topshop and H and M are really good at this.

For example just last week I bought a green long, oversized jumper with pink font down the sleeves. Sound familiar?

# 3- The more money the better it will be

I know the whole point of this post is to be able to understand how to get the designer style for cheaper or if you are on a budget but let's be honest the more it costs, generally the better the piece is likely to be. Buying a replica on eBay is all good but it will only be a cheap material copy and likely won't last you long, it's better for if you only want to wear it once rather then more often.

I really recommend Topshop for this. As much as I hate Topshop for their quality and just general work ethic I must give it to them because they produce some amazing designers and at times I walk and feel I want to buy the whole shop. They are pricey in my opinion but if you want a lasting designer inspired piece then this is the place to go.

MOTO Panel Selvedge Straight Leg Jeans

AUBERGINE Perspex Heeled Ankle Boots

#4- Just have fun and don't bother about anyone's opinion.
This is my last but also most important point. Some people don't seem to like it when you wear designer replicas rather than the real. Well not all of us can afford it so I just tell them to stick up the arse to be blunt ah hahaha. I just want to say just have fun with clothes and fashion whether it be super cheap or super expensive not matter the price just have fun expressing yourself through clothes and fashion.
It's definitely a motto that I have tried to stick to more recently but,

Dress for yourself and not for others.

I hope you enjoyed this post and comment below what is your fashion and style motto.

Style Diaries #1

I have wanted to do something like this for a while so I thought I would start off with a style diaries where I write all about my style and other related things such as fashion tips and hacks and how I style things and trend try. ( you get the idea)

I wanted the first post to be a Q and A style post on my style just to start it off.

Who are your style and fashion inspiration?
Mostly I am inspired by Rihanna when it comes to fashion, especially styling because she and her stylist create some the most unique ways of just wearing clothes. I don't think you could really understand unless you are mad about fashion but she just looks flawless.

What is your favourite piece of clothing to wear?
My favourite piece of clothing to wear is probably, not that exciting, is the grey-marl sweatshirt. Its actually from the menswear section in Primark and it was on the sale which makes it even better. I bought it in an XL so it is super baggy. I am really loving the french brand, Vetements at the minute with that oversized baggy and distorted silhouette which many designer seams to be grasping onto and this I feel is a perfect version of that.

How would you describe your style?
Really?? I haven't got a clue hahaha. My style is a bit of mish-mash of everything. I feel the clothes I wear and even when I go clothes shopping all depends on my mood. One minute I feel like being girly, which is hardly ever really, and then sometimes, in fact, most of the time I like to be quite simple but smart. I love my oversized shirts and my black skinny jeans with a smart suede boot but I like dresses that are not too fussy, simple silhouette, if it has a pattern then I go for plain ones.
My style has definitely picked its way through as of recently though but being only 18 I'm pretty sure I've got a long why till I find exactly what my style is.

Who is your favourite designer/brand?
I really love Alexander Mcqueen, I mean who doesn't really hahaha hahaha. But recently my favourite designer has been the house, called Vetements which I mentioned earlier. I just love their silhouette and design process. I feel they are probably the designer of this era so far.

What your are favourite high street stores to shop?
My favourite high street store has to be Zara. It's like my second home, once I'm in, I'm never coming out. I just end up loving everything it's amazing. But as well this I love H and M, they are could at keeping their clothes trendy and in with the current styles while still catering for everybody and their different styles. I love going to Topshop but as of recently, I have tried not to buy anything because I have hate for their quality of their clothes. I love their clothes and could buy the whole store sometimes but everything I have bought from them has not lasted long, it has never ripped, stretched out, or like their jeans they fade and then if you don't have a thigh gap like me the inside of jeans rip. I used to buy joni jeans all the time but it came to the point where I couldnt afford £34 every month to replace them.

I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any ideas or post you want me to do in this series let me know in the comments below, thank you.

My Top 3 fashion bloggers

My Top 3 Favourite Fashion Bloggers

Nini Nguyen

I followed Nina for a while even before she had her beautiful baby and I have loved watching her style and all her outfits that she posts both on blogger and on her Instagram ( @ ninistyle )

The reason I fall in love with her posts every time is because I feel she thinks really innovativaly about how to put an outfit together and the pieces she does pick and wear are always different but they look so simple. That's the general vibe I get with her style well thought out but simple and classic. Something I try and aspire to when I progress my own style and clothing.

Samantha Maria

Again another person I have been following for a while +Samantha Maria ,  she started on youtube first I believe before blogger which is where I found her. She now has an amazing blog and I love looking and re-reading all her blog posts, even if they are not specifically fashion I still love them.

I love Samantha's style because I don't think I have seen someone dress so relaxed but effortless as she does. She definitely knows her fabrics and textures and knows what look good with what.
I like how she can take quite a statement pieces of clothing or even an accessory and really dress it well into an outfit if that makes any sense haha.

Sanda Hagelstam (5 inch and up)

I know Sandra as 5 inch and up so I always find it weird when I search her actual name aha ha. If you are a shoe addict you will know this girl really well. If you don't I'm pretty ashamed. She has a shoe collection to be envied by any girl you can think of including me. I would kill for the style she has.
She knows her shoes that well that she released a shoe collection with fashion brand, River Island.

End of Summer Haul

Like I said in my previous blog post I mentioned how I felt my style and what I wear is taking a massive turning point and thanks to this I've been taking a lot of style risks and chances and trying out new things.

I thought I would do a short but sweet clothing, fashion haul and show you what I have been buying.

Vetements style long sleeve T-shirt (now with 10% discount)

So I have been obsessing over the french designer house called Vetements which have become extremely popular recently, I particularly love their layered t-shirt dress but unfortunately I haven't got £930 to throw out or even 300 and odd pound. Which brings me on to this t-shirt. I fell in love with this t-shirt when it came out from the brand vetements and from what I remember it was over £300 which I don't have the money for hahaha.

I did a bit of eBay searching and found a replica version from china and I love it to bits because it only cost me £16.99 which I am more than happy with. But as you notice in the picture it says Detements rather than Vetements but I don't really care hahaha.

Boohoo Nikita Shirt

I then ordered some pieces from Boohoo which surprisingly I loved all of them and I have featured this shirt already in my previous blog post which was a #ootd post. This shirt is slightly sheer and is super light weight so it perfect for the summer as a cover up or you could but a cami dress of mini skirt underneath to wear as a dress as it does come up quite quick.

Boohoo Hanky hem dress

This dress was not easy to photograph at all so I will leave a picture from the website for you to what it looks like a bit better. But never the less this dress so pretty. It does have really low arm holes at the side which I probably wear a tank underneath but I'm still figuring out how I'm going to make that look nice haha but I still love it. You could just wear a cropped jacket or something which would still work well.

Boohoo mila bodycon dress
I tried on a dress similar to this but grey in new look last year and I regret not buying it but I saw this one which exactly the same and had to pick one up.

A couple of weeks ago I went on a shopping trip with my mom and I picked up a couple of summery tops from new look. i picked a black halterneck bodysuit which I love but the neck bit is not the comfiest thing I've ever worn so I would probably keep this for when i know I'm not going to be wearing it for very long.

I also bought this on the same day from Primark which is a bit random but I just didn't find that much that I liked this time round whereas normally I find a lot in primark but I found this and thought it would be perfect for work but as expected with primark the quality isn't great.

Another random item but most of you won't know that I love Rihanna and a couple of years back she realised a couple of collections with river island which I did buy some pieces from at the time but ever since I have been constantly searching eBay and depop to find more pieces in my size at good prices and i found this cropped jumper from the first collection which I love.

I hope you enjoyed and leave a comment on what your favourite piece is
